Sunday, February 5th
Jr. & Sr. High Youth are hosting the Chili Cook-Off Super Bowl Sunday, for Souper Bowl of Caring. Chili chefs get your recipe ready. Sign up at the table inside the Fellowship Hall to donate your Chili. Please have your Chili ready by 11:45am. We will serve the chili following the 11:00am worship service. Who will win this year? If you are not entering the chili contest, please bring a salad, bread or dessert to share.
To donate to Souper Bowl of Caring again this year, look for the “soup cans.” All proceeds from Souper Bowl of Caring will go to the Lutheran World Relief Fund for Philippines flood relief efforts.
BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH CONGREGATIONAL ANNUAL MEETING January 29, 2012, 10AM Annual Reports are on the Welcome Table In a recent letter, the director of the ELCA Malaria Campaign, Pr. Andrea DeGroote-Nesdahl, noted that more people have died of malaria than any other cause in history. We are in a very special time when we can make a dramatic difference by providing $10 insecticide-treated nets to keep the malaria-infected mosquitoes away. Birthdays, marriage or baptismal anniversaries, all are occasions to serve people in Jesus’ name and honor your love one with a gift of a bed net. Please make checks out to “Bethlehem” with Malaria project on the memo line. So far we have 326 bed nets. Our goal is 600, one for each baptized member. For more information: http://www.neiasynod.org/synod_resources/Malaria.asp | Welcome to Bethlehem Lutheran Church - we invite you to look around and get a feel for our church. If you're not currently a member of our congregation - we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services. And of course, feel free to reach out and call our Pastor or Ministry Leaders. We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and enjoy fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries. We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. Your prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you. Many blessings to you, Pastor Gary Hedding |
